in Havana Cuba during a sweep of investigations of alleged corruption among Cuban companies and foreign investors in Cuba.
The Cuban secret security police arrested Amado Fakhre, of Coral Capital Group Ltd.CEO & president of Coral Capital Group, one of the biggest investors in Cuba owners of the Havana Saratoga Hotel. No news about the wherabouts of Amado were released. Could be that Cuba is cleaning up the deep coruption that is a regular part of doing business with Cuba or its just another way of getting rid of foreign investors and parting them of their millions of dollars in Investment. Whatever Cuba's reasoning the only thing certain is that this is only the begining. As they say in Cuba if the Castro brothers really want to clean up corruption in Cuba they are going to have to put everyone in jail. Yes Corruption really runs that deep in Cuba. In fact its part of the daily air that the Cuban breathe every day. Just ask anyone that has done business in Cuba or better still ask any Cuban.
